Auto-Commit Inventory to Sales Orders

Say you create a new Sales Order in Sage 300 and commit available inventory to it so it cannot be shipped with other orders. All works well. But what if you don’t have the inventory on hand when entering the sales order? When you do receive the inventory, you have to figure out what sales orders can be fulfilled using the new inventory received. Wouldn’t it be nice if the system automatically allocated the new inventory to the outstanding orders in chronological order? This is exactly what one customer wanted, so we created a custom process that runs in back-ground and auto-commits newly available inventory to the outstanding orders. One less thing to think about for the customer, and a boost to their productivity.

Let us know if you might benefit from a custom process like this one or need any other tweak to your Sage 300, Sage Intacct or Acumatica ERP systems.
